About Me

Following a long career in the NHS working in critical care and cancer care, I decided to make a change.  I wanted to devote my skills and knowledge to helping people prevent disease and illness, finding natural ways to restore harmony in an unbalanced system, to help them to enjoy life in optimal health.

After writing about food and nutrition for many years I then took that a step further and studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London.  Inspired by my own experiences with health issues over my lifetime that were consistently resolved by making specific changes in diet and lifestyle, using food and herbs as medicine and learning about how my environment was impacting my health, I was driven to learn more.

At the College of Naturopathic Medicine, I gained in depth knowledge of how all the systems in the body work together, what nutrients or "fuel" each of our systems require to function optimally; how medicines, nutrients, herbs, environment, stress and poor diet interact and impact how our bodies work. I am now so happy to be able to share my knowledge and experience to help others, not just to be alive, but to thrive!
